Congress leaders celebrate Sonia's 15 years as party chief

Hyderabad: The State Congress leaders celebrated the completion of Sonia Gandhi's 15th year as party president on Friday. Several leaders, including PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana, Ministers Sailajanath, D K Aruna, AICC secretary Ponguleti Sudhakar, chief whip G Venkataramana Reddy took part in the celebrations. The PCC president along with other leaders cut a cake as party activists played drums to celebrate the event. Even AICC secretary Sudhakar tried his hand on playing the drums. Later, the party workers burst crackers. The leaders hailed the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and exuded confidence that the UPA government would come back to power in the Centre. Botcha recalled the sacrifices of the Gandhi family and said that Sonia was a symbol of sacrifice, who strived for establishing value based politics.
