kcr2New Delhi: TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao and Vijaya Shanti on Monday staged a walk-out from Lok Sabha, after successfully forcing a brief adjournment. In the morning, KCR gave notice for an Adjournment Motion to discuss the outcome of the all-party meeting on Telangana convened by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on December 28, 2012. As Speaker Meira Kumar disallowed it, both Rao and Vijaya Shanti moved into the well of the House, raising slogans of Jai Telangana, forcing a brief adjournment of the House. When the House reassembled for the Question Hour, both went back into the well of the House and continued to raise slogans. As a special gesture, the Speaker offered to allow KCR to briefly mention the issue. She said since a lady member was involved and Rao was looking frail, she wanted to make a one-time exception, which should not become a precedent. But members opposed it, saying that this would set a wrong precedent and should not be allowed. Then, both KCR and Vijaya Shanti staged a walk-out. Before walking out, amid the din, Rao said that three years back the government had announced the setting in motion of the process for the creation of separate Telangana. So far the state had not been created. He wanted the Speaker to direct the government in this regard. On Tuesday the duo did not attend the House.
