nio1 Hyderabad: Strongly opposing TDP's decision of not supporting the no-confidence motion against the government, YSRCP on Thursday demanded the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to maintain decorum and withdraw the whip issued to all his MLAs to abstain from voting. Addressing a news conference, YSRCP deputy floor leader D Krishna Das said it was undemocratic and against parliamentary principles that a responsible opposition party was not supporting a no-confidence motion moved by other parties in the Assembly. He hoped that Naidu would change his stand when the issue came up for voting. Reiterating that YSRCP was ready to support no-confidence motion if the TDP moved it in the House during the ongoing budget session, he said Naidu should come forward and act in a responsible manner. No-confidence motion is an opportunity to highlight the failures of the government and if someone does not want to be part of the fight, it would project that the parties had a different agenda, he added. Coming down heavily on the Congress government for its failure in controlling the hike in prices of essential commodities and power charges, Krishna Das said farmers, weavers and small and medium industries were affected severely with the imposition of Fuel Surcharge Adjustments (FSAs). The unprecedented power cuts left people of the State in dark for hours continuously.
