Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy seems to have put up a strong argument against dropping of the ministers whose names have figured in the CBI chargesheet in the illegal assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, according to some ministers who have closely been following the developments in Delhi. Sources say Kiran felt that it would not help the party and would cause confusion among the party leaders. It would push the party into the trap laid by the opposition parties, who have been demanding the sacking of the ministers. The Chief Minister reportedly told the high command that the ministers were implicated in Jagan's DA case after an advocate close to YSRCP filed a public interest litigation case in the Apex court. A AICC incharge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad is also understood to have agreed with this argument. Kiran reportedly said that the CBI court has not yet taken note of Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy's role in the case. It is premature to come to a conclusion on the action that is likely to be initiated. If Sabitha and Dharmana Prasada Rao are dropped at this stage, the opposition would mount pressure for resignation of other three ministers whose names figure in the controversial GOs issue.
