- Compares process to that of selecting a bride/groom - Padayatra crosses 2,500-km distance on Monday babu2 Rajahmundry: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu takes pride in the stringent checks that aspirants for party tickets are subjected to during the election time. He even compares the selection process to bride/groom selection which takes a lot of efforts and care. "I will enquire about seven generations of aspirants before choosing the right candidate. It is no less than selecting a groom or bride in our society," he said on Monday. Exhorting the party workers to vigorously for the candidates put up by the party, he said the latter deserved all the attention and efforts by the cadres as he himself would take keen interest in candidate selection matters. Holding a review meeting with cadres from Rajahmundry city and rural constituencies on the suburbs of Dulla village in East Godavari district, Naidu said the party workers should also spread themselves across the nook and corner of the State and expose the misdeeds of Congress and YSRCP. The padayatra by the TDP supremo crossed another landmark of 2,500 km on the day at Mandapeta. So far, his 'Vastunna Meekosam' padayatra has covered 72 Assembly constituencies, 143 mandals, 24 municipal towns and 3 corporations in 175 days.
