launches 'Gadapa Gadapaku Telangana'. kcrHyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao stated that the ongoing dharnas over power crisis were just aimed at sidetracking the Telangana issue. "These political parties are only worried about getting back to 'power' at any cost rather than addressing the power woes of people," he alleged. Speaking at the launching of Gadapa Gadapaku Telangana (GGT) programme, at a private function hall in the city, KCR questioned the commitment of Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on the power issue. KCR reminded that Telangana sentiment arose once again only due to the negligence and faulty decisions taken during Chandrababu Naidu's regime in early 2000s. "Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, known for his adamant attitude had increased the power tariffs in spite of the public outcry," KCR lamented. KCR promised that he would ensure eight hours of uninterrupted power supply to farmers in the new state. Flaying a section of media for frequently resorting to false propaganda, the TRS president said that Telangana people constituted about 60-70 lakh of Hyderabad population, while people of Seemandhra account not more than five lakh.
