District Registrar in ACB net

Kurnool: The Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Wednesday caught red-handed District Registrar Madhavi and senior assistant Sarveswara Nath while accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from an ex-service man at the district registrar office.

Ex-service man K.C. Ramudu approached the sub registrar for registering a five acre land situated at Gargeyapuram to which the sub registrar refused to register the sale deed.

Ramudu approached the district registrar Madhavi for justice stating that he had a right to sell the assigned land ten years after allotment. However, Madhavi demanded money to get the land registered.

Ramudu approached the ACB which swung into action and caught the erring officials red-handed.A ACB DSP Vijay Paul said that the officials in the registrar were arrested and would be produce in the court tomorrow.
