jobsHyderabad: The State government has identified 63,621 vacancies in various departments in the State.A The Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew on Saturday has reviewed the vacancy position in all the departments. She said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy showed interest in filling up the vacancies and asked various government departments to consolidate the vacancies and speed up the exercise at the earliest. She said that finance department will consolidate and take approval of the Chief Minister in a single file to expedite the notification by the recruiting agencies. A total of 63,721 posts have been identified in various departments. Interestingly, primary school education department identified 20,790 posts lying vacant and police department 10,730. The intermediate education found 4808 vacancies, Transco and Discoms - 3208, family welfare - 2234, APGenco 1303, AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad � 974, CCLA � 6, medical education - 963, fire services � 886, Ayush � 729, collegiate education � 685, residential education � 684, forest � 600, employment and training � 577, commercial taxes � 573, treasuries � 407, prisons � 383, excise � 364, survey and land records � 342, animal husbandry � 290, town planning � 288, technical education � 286, irrigation (AW) � 277, agriculture � 236, public health � 225, civil supplies corporation � 223, SAAP � 194, Special Protection Force � 185, endowments � 180, Horticulture University - 167; APCO � 162, roads and buildings � 135, Finance (Director of Insurance) � 113 and general administration - 104 and finance and works and accounts - 103. There are many other departments which have reported less than 100 vacancies. The Chief Secretary directed the departments to complete the exercise and report the vacancies to the Finance Department. Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries of different departments attended the meeting.
