Hyderabad: TRS leader T Harish Rao strongly denied the allegations levelled against him by suspended leader Raghunandan, that he had taken Rs 80 lakh in a land deal relating to Padmalaya Studios and that the deal took place in politburo member Vijayashanti's residence.

At a press conference held in the Telangana Bhavan on Friday, he said that Raghunandan was talking like a 'Seemandhra agent' and dared him to hand over proof of the CDs to the CBI. Harish said that he is ready to face any inquiry by a sitting judge of Supreme Court and added that he would fight the case legally.

Harish said that Raghu's moves appear to be a game plan to weaken the Telangana movement adding that Raghu was in touch with Congress, TDP and YSRCP. He was provided all possible opportunities in the party but he had failed to prove his worth. It is wrong to say that he was elbowed out from the party. People of Medak district are aware of his capabilities and character. He could not even win the election when the party gave him a ticket to contest as MLC, he said.

He added that at a time when TDP senior leaders like Kadiyam Srihari and G Kamalakar had decided to end their relations with a party they were associated with for almost three decades, Raghu has decided to indulge in mudslinging against TRS and its leaders. This apparently is a game plan of the Seemandhra parties, he said.

He demanded that Raghu should come out with proof of CDs or any other written material to substantiate his allegations. Rao said that if he fails to do so, he would file a case of defamation against the suspended leader.
