* Srisailam water level rises to 806.04 ft * Genco resumes hydel power generation

Hyderabad: With reservoirs in Krishna basin receiving heavy inflows following heavy rains in the upper catchment area, APGENCO resumed power generation at major hydel power stations on Sunday. At Srisailam reservoir water level reached 806.40 feet against 885 feet full reservoir level, as 42,000 cusecs of water was released from Jurala project on Sunday evening, according to the officials.

In Jurala reservoir, the inflows are 85,000 cusecs of water . The reservoir level reached to 316.4 meters as against 318.5 metres capacity. It is expected that over one lakh cusecs of water will reach Jurala from Almatti dam in the next 24 hours. 300 cusecs of water was released to left bank canal and another 200 cusecs to right canal from Jurala.

The water level at Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir reached 520 .90 feet with the releasing of water from Srisaliam reservoir. The outflow at Almatti dam was recorded at 1.30 lakh cusecs which was released to Narayanapur reservoir.
