Kidnap charge against Mukesh's son

Hyderabad: A criminal complaint has been lodged against Marketing Minister M Mukhesh Goud's son M Vikram Goud, for allegedly abducting two persons with the help of his henchmen, detaining them forcibly for more than 12 hours and assaulting them physically besides threatening with dire consequences. However, police officials are yet to register the case. The victims Sashikant and Chandrasekhar approached the Banjara Hills police on Friday morning and lodged the complaint against Vikram and another person Karthik. The incident came to light on Saturday when the victims came to the police station to enquire after the fate of their complaint. The complainants alleged that five people approached them while having lunch at a restaurant on Road No. 12 in Banjara Hills on March 21. The rough looking people forced the duo to go with them to Minister Mukesh Goud's house saying Vikram Goud was calling them, the duo said in their complaint. The duo also said in the complaint that Vikram and their business partner Karthik were present in the house and they beat them up black and blue along with some other persons. "We were threatened by Vikram to settle the dispute with Karthik or face dire consequences," they said in the complaint. According to the victims, the duo along with three others took a Lounge-cum-Bar located near Peddamma temple in Jubilee Hills on lease from Karthik for an amount of Rs 54 lakh. The lease money has completely been paid but Karthik had been demanding more money. When the undue demand was refused, Vikram entered the picture and made at least three phone calls prior to March 21 threatening with dire consequences. "We did not pay attention to the threats following which we were abducted, assaulted and threatened with dire consequences," the duo said in the complaint.A Banjara Hills Inspector P Murali Krishna said the victims had been sent to Osmania General Hospital for medical examination. "We are also looking into the genuineness of the complaint and consulting with higher officials before registering a case," he said. Meanwhile, sources said there has been tremendous political pressure on the police not to register the case. The Inspector is alleged to have advised the victims not to press for the case and he would arrange for a compromise.
