TNS leader sceptical over the effectiveness of Congress, third front or sub-regional party V Ramu Sarma 
Hyderabad: Telangana Nagara Samithi leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that Telangana could not become a reality either under Congress party, a third front or any sub regional party, even if it won 10 Lok Sabha seats. "It is only the NDA which is totally committed to carve separate Telangana and that is why I have decided to support BJP," he informed. Talking to The Hans India after his return from New Delhi on Friday, Nagam said that he had expressed his intention to join the BJP and now it was for the party leadership to take a decision in the matter. He said that now the time has come for the TRS and TJAC to look beyond the interests of a single political party and ensure that all parties, organisations and individuals were brought under one umbrella if T state had to become a reality after 2014 general elections. When asked what he meant by his statement, Nagam said that he wanted the TJAC to take the lead, talk to all pro T organisations and parties. He said that instead of one party contesting so many seats, individuals like students, doctors, lawyers should contest the polls under the umbrella of JAC then there would be a real commitment among them to fight for separate state and vote in favour of the bill when introduced by NDA government in the Parliament. When pointed out that the TRS claimed that if it won large number of Assembly and Lok Sabha seats, it would be able to dictate terms at Centre and through that they would be able to achieve T state, Nagam said that they have seen what had happened in 2004. TRS had allied with Congress, joined the government at the Centre and in the State but failed to force them to bifurcate the State. "Presuming that they will win over 10 Lok Sabha seats, where is the guarantee that they will fight for T state. Even after 1969 agitation, when the party led by Chenna Reddy won many seats they could not achieve T state and merged with Congress. We saw what TRS had done after 2004. But, what if the JAC fails to bring that kind of understanding and if TRS also puts up a candidate against him," Nagam said and added, "People will judge in such a situation. I had fought for separate T state even in 1969." Replying to another question about the scams in which the BJP was facing charges, particularly in Karnataka, Nagam said the BJP was quick enough to remove the chief minister and the minister.
