Kothagudem: The birth anniversary celebrations of late Prof. K.Jayashanker were organised on a grand scale across the district on Monday. TRS leaders and officers conducted separate programmes and remembered the services of the Telangana movement ideologue.
Revenue Divisional Officer Ravindernath and other officers paid floral tribute to the photo of Prof. Jayashankar at an event conducted in the Collector office meeting hall.
Recalling the services of Prof Jayashanker the officers said he sacrificed his life to realise the dreams of the people of Telangana. Jayashanker played an important role in the Telangana movement. With his speeches and books, he motivated and inspired thousands of students and leaders and encouraged them to participate in the separate Telangana movement, the said.
