Kishan sees wider acceptance for BJP in Seemandhra region
Notwithstanding BJP’s support for Telangana demand, G Kishan Reddy, the BJP state unit president predicted wider acceptance for his party even in the Seemandhra region in the next general elections. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s growing popularity across the length and breadth of the region would compel Seemandhra youth to rally behind the party, he said.

Hyderabad: Notwith standing BJP’s support for Telangana demand, G Kishan Reddy, the BJP state unit president predicted wider acceptance for his party even in the Seemandhra region in the next general elections. Senior politician S Bhoom Rao from Korutla in Karimnagar district, who was associated with TRS for close to six years, joined Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Kishan Reddy and other state leaders on Thursday evening. Bhoom Rao arrived in the city accompanied by hundreds of supporters and well-wishers in a big convoy of vehicles.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy lashed out at main political parties that have adopted different stands in each region.

“The decision to join BJP has been at the back of mind for over a year now. Even my well-wishers, family members and my good friends in BJP- Ch Vidyasagar Rao and Bandaru Dattatreya, influenced me,” the senior leader added. Pointing out that people of the nation were looking at BJP for its successful governance in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Bhoom Rao urged the state party to build a strong base.
“ The aim should be to secure power in the State in 2019 elections,” YSR Congress co-ordinator for Korutla, Satyam Reddy and few politicians from Karimnagar district also joined BJP along with Bhoom Rao. Senior leaders P Muralidhar Rao, Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Bandaru Dattatreya and others were also present.
