Seemandhra Sectt staff go on mass CL

The employees led by Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum went on ‘mass casual leave’ on Friday as part of their stir in protest against the division of Andhra Pradesh. All the departments in the Secretariat wore a deserted look because of the stir. As it was declared as an ‘optional holiday,’ the attendance was thin on Friday. There was no file movement in any department. A few employees in the revenue and the finance departments attended to the duties. The head of the departments including principal secretaries and secretaries were left alone in their chambers without any assistance.

The employees led by Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum went on ‘mass casual leave’ on Friday as part of their stir in protest against the division of Andhra Pradesh. All the departments in the Secretariat wore a deserted look because of the stir. As it was declared as an ‘optional holiday,’ the attendance was thin on Friday. Many of the employees applied for casual leave and some of them did not turn up for duties by taking optional holiday. Speaking to The Hans India, Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum secretary K V Krishnaiah said that they would intensify their stir in the future if the Centre did not change its stand on state bifurcation. He said that they would also boycott the duties on Saturday and conduct ‘mock parliament’ programme at the Secretariat.
