Hyderabad: Hyderabad Telangana Employees JAC (TEJAC) on Friday condemned attacks on government employees hailing from Telangana region in various Seemandhra districts. It warned of serious consequences if such actions are repeated in coming days. In view of Seemandhra employees resorting to stir for keeping state united, members of the TEJAC conducted Sadhbhavana meeting at Gaganvihar premises on Friday.

K Keshav Rao, Etela Rajender and K Swamy Goud (TRS) besides employee leaders G Deviprasad, C Vittal, Krishna Yadav took part. Addressing the gathering, Keshav Rao said that Telangana State was achieved not because of Congress, but due to sacrifices of thousands of youth for the cause. Etela Rajender took exception to Seemandhra leaders for claiming that majority of the public were supporting unified state demand. He urged the government to convene an Assembly Session and see for itself whether 119 MLAs from Telangana region were supporting its claims.

Warning Seemandhra employees against any more provocative actions, Swamy Goud said that if they took to same exercise, none from Seemandhra would work in Telangana region. Meanwhile Employee JAC leaders G Deviprasad and C Vittal alleged that State Government was behind the ongoing stir in the Seemandhra region. “Finance Minister Anam Narayana Reddy had stated that the strike was hundred percent in Seemandhra districts which is untrue. He should talk to Collectors in thirteen districts to get actual figures. This same zeal, however, was missing during the Telangana agitation. Even though Sakala Janula Samme was near total in ten districts, government claimed that the strike was only 65 percent success,” they lamented.

TRS decries attacks
Condemning attacks on Telangana employees working in Seemandhra region, TRS on Friday demanded stringent action against the guilty. Else, public would assume that State government and Chief Minister were behind these actions, the party said.

Talking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan, Etela Rajender, TRS floor leader in the Assembly, sought an explanation from the Chief Minister and the DGP on these attacks. What did police chief meant by his statement that law was same for everyone, Rajender questioned.
