Hyderabad: People's representative from the YSR Congress Party started a dharna Gandhiji's statue in the premises of state assembly on Friday. The move is aimed at keeping the state united. They called on the representatives of people from the Seemandhra region to resign from their posts to create a political crisis in the state. As part of this programme, all MPs, MLAs and MLCs of YSRCP offered prayers to the Telugutalli statue and moved in a rally to the state assembly.
However, the people’s representatives were not allowed to join the rally as they do not have the required permission for the same. The YSRCP representatives of people expressed their displeasure over the same. From the other end, the party leaders who reached Telugutalli statue to support YSRCP representatives of people were taken into custody by the police, forcibly, sources added.
