KCR demands CM’s scalp. Hyderabad: The TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday demanded that that the Congress high command should sack the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for defying the party high command on the issue of bifurcation of the state.

Hyderabad: The TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday demanded that that the Congress high command should sack the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for defying the party high command on the issue of bifurcation of the state. Addressing a group of party workers from Vikarabad and Maheshwaram constituencies who joined TRS, Rao pointed out that all issues and concerns of the Seemandhra people would be addressed with the division of the State. The TRS chief took the opportunity to lash out at Kiran Kumar Reddy for openly defying the party leadership on Telangana issue.
He said that Chief Minister himself accepted the fact that water from Krishna and Godavari rivers was allocated to Seemandhra region all this while. The figures and statistics given by Kiran Kumar Reddy proved that injustice was done to the region, he added. Telangana region did not benefit a wee bit after the merger took place in 1956. Many irrigation projects like Kalwakurthy and SLBC projects were kept pending for well over four decades, he rued.
