Katari Srinivasa Rao, president State Lok Satta Party said, “the police seemed to be acting at the behest of Congress ministers who had called upon people to foil Vijayamma’s visit as she was opposed to the carving out of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh.”
Lok Satta Party leadership on Thursday condemned the way YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma was prevented by the police from entering Nalgonda district and shifting her to a police station in Khammam district on Thursday. Vijayamma was on a visit to console farmers hit by heavy rains and floods in Telangana districts.
Katari Srinivasa Rao, president State Lok Satta Party said, “the police seemed to be acting at the behest of Congress ministers who had called upon people to foil Vijayamma’s visit as she was opposed to the carving out of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh.”
He added that the Constitution guarantees the right of every citizen to live, travel and work everywhere in India.
