Sangareddy (Medak): District Congress president and MLC V Bhupal Reddy here on Monday instructed the Congress leaders and workers not to attend the Rachabanda programme which would be attended by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on November 13 in the district.

Addressing the media persons the MLC said that the decision has been taken in view of the open support to the united Andhra Pradesh the chief minister has been extending against the wishes and aspirations of the Telangana people.

He said that the Telangana people were against the visit of the chief minister.

Referring to the invitation of Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy to the chief minister was only his personal and has nothing to do with the party. He appealed to the MLA to think over it once again and cancel the CM’s visit.

The DCC president said that the decision was taken after consulting the deputy chief minister, ministers of the district, MLAs and MPs and other leaders.

Minister Sunita Lakshma Reddy told newsmen at Narsapur said that she had not received any communication regarding the chief minister’s tour of Medak district. Anyway, the decision would be taken after consulting all leaders, she added.

According to reports, Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha called the ministers and MLAs from Delhi and asked them not to attend the chief minister’s programme.

Meanwhile, Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy has been making elaborate arrangements for the success of the chief minister’s visit here. Efforts were on to mobilize people on a large scale for the meeting, it is learnt.

DISTRICT BANDH

Meanwhile, the T JAC and TRS have jointly given a call for the total bandh of the district on November 13 in view of the Rachabanda programme of the chief minister. Former MLA and district TRS president R Satyanarayana said that the chief minister has no moral right to tour the district as he has been putting hurdles for the formation of Telangana. He appealed to all the political parties to make the bandh a grand success.
