The Telangana Muslim Forum (TMF) has expressed its reservations on the recommendations reportedly made by the Antony Committee on the bifurcation of the State. “The tone and tenor of the purported Antony note does not seem to translate the July 30 CWC resolution into a reality,” observed its convener Syed Rafi on Tuesday.

“Muslims of Telangana want Hyderabad to be the full-fledged capital of Telangana. They also oppose any proposal to share Hyderabad revenues, based on population. Existing laws and the Constitution do not permit such transfer of revenue from one State to another State,” Rafi said.
He warned, “The recommendations, if taken forward, would lead to another phase of Telangana movement whose direction it would be difficult to predict.”
