Hyderabad: As part of his mission to keep the State united, YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy left for New Delhi on Friday night.
A host of leaders of his party, including Mekapati Rammohana Reddy, Mysura Reddy, Konathala Ramakrishna, Bala Shouri and Gattu Ramchandra Rao are accompanying him.
The representatives from YSRCP will meet the leaders of CPI and CPM on Saturday, with a view to convincing them on the need to support the cause of united Andhra Pradesh. Jagan will try to apprise them of the problems that would arise out of bifurcation, and explain the adamant way the Central government has been behaving in this respect.
The meet is also raising speculations about possible election tie-ups between CPM and YSRCP. The YSRCP chief will also meet the leadership of BJP, reminding them about how three States were created under the BJP rule, where Assembly resolutions were made prior to bifurcation. This meeting assumes significance as Jagan has appreciated BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for his efficient administration.
