Hyderabad: Resolving to intensify its agitation against the bifurcation of the State, the APNGOs leadership on Saturday decided to ‘Occupy Hyderabad’ with 10 lakh people, when the T bill was introduced in the Assembly. They would announce their next phase of agitation on November 24.

The meeting organised under the banner of newly-formed Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika (SRPV) at Ashoka Gardens at Gudimalkapur was marred by unruly scenes as the Telangana activists sought to stall the proceedings. With the situation going out of control, the police made the leaders conclude the meeting as soon as it crossed the permitted time limit. APNGOs president P Ashok Babu protested against the police personnel’s ‘high-handedness’ against the organisers. He said that both the Central and State ministers sold themselves out. “They are deceiving people by focusing on packages for themselves”, he said.
