• Chandrababu decides to give up bus yatra

• District-level meetings kick off on Nov 21

Changing its strategy, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has decided to adopt an aggressive attitude against the Congress party. Instead of taking up ‘Bus Yatra’, party president N Chandrababu Naidu decided to launch campaign against the collusion politics indulged in by three parties – Congress, YSR Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) – ahead of 2014 general election.

Addressing media on Saturday evening, Naidu lashed out at the Congress party leaders, including Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who tried to make fun of his demand for equal justice for all regions before moving forward with the process of bifurcation. Naidu said that Jaipal Reddy was an intellectual and should know the difference between equal justice and ‘Brahma Padartham,’ the word he had used to belittle him. Naidu said ‘Brahma Padartham’ means invisible. He said if Jaipal cannot understand the meaning of equal justice demanded by TDP, then he should read what the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said on November 16, 2011, while addressing the media on his way back from Maldives. The Prime Minister, he said, had said that Telangana problem cannot be solved without taking into consideration of all stakeholders. The demand for equal justice was not different from what they had said, he added.

Naidu further added that the TDP would now hold public meetings in all the districts. The first public meeting would kick-start in Chittoor on November 21, followed by Nellore (November 22), Prakasam (November 23), Guntur (November 24), Krishna (November 25) and in Ranga Reddy district on November 26.
