Slightly changing the computer-based test (CBT) mode of JEE Main examination, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), has released mock test for practicing the paper beforehand. A facility to change the answer that has already been attempted was incorporated and another one for review has also been included.
To deselect a chosen option, the candidates have to click again on the chosen option again or click on the ‘clear option’ button. To change the answer, they have to click on the desired option accordingly.
Similarly, to mark a question for review, the aspirants have to click on Mark for Review and Next. If an answer is selected for a question that is marked for review, the answer will be considered in the final evaluation, the CBSE made it clear. The guidelines have also advised the students to use the virtual key pad to enter a numerical in the answer.
Candidates can navigate to questions in various sections freely by clicking the respective name of the section which is displayed on the top bar of the screen.
There will be 90 questions- 30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the total marks are 180. Each question will have four marks for correct answer. One fourth of marks will be deducted for any wrong answer. There will not be any deduction from the total score if no answer is given.
