Petitioner says Kiran is misrepresenting facts on bifurcation

Hyderabad: A court in Ranga Reddy district has directed the Saroornagar police to register a case against Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for misrepresenting facts on the bifurcation issue. The directions were issued following a petition filed by a city advocate, S Janardhan Goud.
He alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was stoking the fire on the ongoing agitation in Seemandhra protesting bifurcation of the state. The Chief Minister tried to provoke people in the Seemandhra region with his statements although the Congress Working Committee (CWC) took a decision favouring separate statehood for Telangana, the petitioner said. The court told the Saroornagar police to register the FIR and proceed in accordance with the law.
The petitioner said two persons committed suicide in Telangana after Reddy’s statement.
