CM will go to jail for graft: Shravan

The TRS politburo member D Shravan on Tuesday alleged Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of conspiring to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the State for his political interests. For large-scale corruption in allotting prime lands in Nandagiri Hills and drinking water scheme in Chittoor district, Kiran Reddy would be sent to jail soon, he said.

Addressing a press conference here, Shravan called upon Telangana ministers to confront the Chief Minister for his one-sided stand on bifurcation issue. “It feels strange that Kiran Reddy, who had no clue about extremists’ hideout in his own district till recently, is talking about terror and naxal activities. He should realise that naxalism escalated in Telangana region after separate statehood was denied for Telangana in 1969 and the same thing might be repeated in case aspirations of the public were not fulfilled this time,” the TRS leader said.

Earlier, the TRS Greater Hyderabad activists led by its president Kattela Srinivas Yadav burnt the effigy of the Chief Minister at Telangana Bhavan.
