Adilabad: Wild life cameras arranged by forest officials in the Nilwai forest area in Adilabad district captured photographs of a tiger, which strayed from the forest recently and killed cattle from different villages in Vemanapalli and Kotapalli mandals. According to the forest officials, a dozen wildlife cameras were arranged in the Nilwai forest in the wake of reports about cattle being killed in the last few months.
The tiger’s clear image was captured by one of the cameras near Baddampally village.
Jannaram Wildlife Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) G Rama Krishna Rao, who is involved in monitoring the movement of the tiger, appealed to the villagers living close to the Nilwai forest area not to harm the wild animal and assured them that steps are being taken to protect their cattle.
