The GoM will assemble for the last time on November, 27 to arrive at a conclusion on its report and finalizing the same before submitting to the Union Cabinet. There was a GoM meet on Thursday also.
But, no prominent issues have been discussed during the meet due to the non availability of key personnel like Chidambaram and Gulam Nabi Azad in the meeting, according to sources.
After the meeting, Susheel Kumar Shinde spoke to media and said that two members of the GoM: Union Finance Minister, P Chidambaram and the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Gulam Nabi Azad could not take part in the meeting. Though the reason for Chidambaram’s absence was known, the reason for Gulam’s absence was not revealed even by Shinde. He said the GoM’s next and final meeting will be held on November, 27. It is learnt from the sources of Home Ministry that all the decisions have been taken in accordance with the July 30 CWC decision and the UPA coordination meeting.
Shinde said they are likely to complete all the proceedings by due time and submit the final report after their final meeting.
