Anantapur: Thieves broke in to the Co-operative Society Bank in Ramnagar after breaking the shutter’s lock and decamped with Rs 13 lakhs cash in the early hours of Wednesday.

The police clues team reached the bank premises and started investigation. They also collected the fingerprints of the bank staff.
There was no alarm system or closed circuit camera in the bank. It did not have even a security guard. The CCS Circle Inspector, Srinivasulu, said that the police collected clues from the place of crime and would catch the robbers shortly. He said it was yet to be found whether any of the bank staff collaborated with the thieves.
