Hyderabad: Two unidentified persons escaped with a bag containing Rs 4 lakh from a cashier of a private company at Ranigunj on Saturday evening.
Akbar, who works for a leather company, was walking on the road after finishing his work when the snatchers who came on a two-wheeler, grabbed the bag and fled the spot within no time. He had withdrawn the amount from IDBI bank in Banjara Hills and reached Secunderabad in one of his friend’s car for purchasing electrical engines.
A case has been registered under Section 382 of the IPC. Investigation has been taken up. On Friday evening, unknown persons snatched a cash bag from A builder Uma Maheshwar Rao near his house at Srinagar Colony. He was returning to his home after withdrawing Rs six lakh from a private bank at Khairatabad.
Meanwhile, an unidentified person ran away with cash bag containing Rs four lakh from a person at Red Rose Hotel in Panjagutta on Friday.
The victim, Sirajuddin of Saidabad, was walking carrying the bag after withdrawing the amount at a private bank. As Siraj chased the snatchers, two bundles of currency worth 2 lakh slipped off from the bag. The snatcher fled away with the reamaing cash.
