Action as soon as T Bill reaches Assembly

Hyderabad: The APNGOs and other employee organisations, which were protesting against the decision on AP bifurcation, decided to wait and watch developments till the T Bill reached the Assembly. A call for ‘flash strike’ will be given by the ‘Steering Committee’ formed by various government organisations spearheading the Samaikyandhra movement. Leaders will be meeting Chief Minister on Tuesday to discuss departmental issues. Speaking to media persons, after a meeting between APNGOs and constituents of Samaikyandhra Rastra Parirakshana Vedika (SRPV) representing various employee groups, president of the Association, P Ashok Babu, explained that there would not be any further meetings for planning agitations.

The task would be taken care of by the Steering Committee from now on. This committee would review the situation for every two days at APNGO Bhavan. Exuding confidence that the process would hit a roadblock as almost all MLAs have openly announced their allegiance to unified state and some of them even given written assurance, he said that the legislators would fight against bifurcation.

“If they backtracked on their promise, then we shall be taking forward the agitation again”, he said. All major decisions with regard to the agitation against bifurcation would be taken by the emergency meeting called by the executive body.

“Major decisions like road blockade, rail roko and Chalo Hyderabad and Chalo Delhi would be taken by this body,” he added. According to him, a decision would be taken within 24 hours.
