Hyderabad: Condemning the Intelligence Bureau seeking views on Rayala Telangana, Telangana leaders, who made their views clear on bifurcation all party meetings, said that if the Centre wanted to know the opinion of public representatives on Rayala Telangana it could have officially asked all the parties to express their views on it.

These leaders felt that the Congress high command or the Centre will not resort to such an act at a time when the Telangana issue was at a crucial stage. They said, when no one even suggested Rayala Telangana why the Centre would ask the IB to find out the views of the MLAs.
Congress MLA Ramreddy Damodar Reddy said, “This appears to be some sort of conspiracy to create confusion among people of Telangana. This issue did not figure either in the CWC resolution or in the cabinet note and none of the GoM members tried to gather opinion on this issue. IB has no role in the matter and if it really tries to gather opinion then it is a condemnable act.”
Telugu Desam MLA M Narsimhulu said that he had received a telephone call from someone claiming to be from IB and wanted to know his opinion on Rayala Telangana. He said he had made it clear that such a proposal was not acceptable to the people of Telangana.

However, another TDP leader Tummala Nageswara Rao said that an officer of DSP level, who was from IB working in the State, had called him and wanted to know his opinion on the proposal of Rayala Telangana. He said he had strongly opposed it.

TRS leader K Keshava Rao and BJP state president G Kishan Reddy also opposed the proposal of Rayala Telangana. He said BJP would oppose any such proposal in the Assembly as well.
Meanwhile, former minister J C Diwakar Reddy welcomed the move of IB and said that he would put forward the demand for Rayala Telangana when the draft Bill would come before the Assembly. He said that many T leaders were also in favour of the proposal but were not willing to accept it publicly.
