HMR installs Ambedkar statue, develops park
HMR Installs Ambedkar Statue, Develops Park, Road Transport and Highways. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Sarve Satyanarayana on Tuesday unveiled a newly installed statue of Dr BR Ambedkar at Kukatpally ‘Y’ Junction sponsored by Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMR).
Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Sarve Satyanarayana on Tuesday unveiled a newly installed statue of Dr BR Ambedkar at Kukatpally ‘Y’ Junction sponsored by Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMR). At the junction, HMR also developed a park for public on requisition from SC association, Dalit Aikya Vedika.
The Minister appreciated HMR for respecting the sentiments of SC/ST & BC communities and for installing the bronze statue. MP G Vivekanand and MLA Jayaprakash Narayan lauded the efforts being made by HMR managing director NVS Reddy for enlisting the cooperation of all sections of the city in solving contentious issues and speedily implementing the project. NVS Reddy acknowledged the proactive role played by the Dalit organisations in accommodating the Metro Rail alignment at several places, by agreeing to relocate the idols of their community
