Cyclone Lehar update: Deep depression over westcentral Bay of Bengal

The deep depression over west central Bay of Bengal moved west- northwestwards with a speed of 20 kmph during past six hours and lay centred at 8:30 hours IST of today said IMD.

next 36 hours.

  • Squally winds:

Squally winds speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph would prevail along

and off Andhra Pradesh during next 12 hours.

  • State of sea:
  1. State of Sea along and off Andhra Pradesh coast will be rough to very rough.
  2. Damage expected over coastal Andhra Pradesh:
  3. Minor damage to loose and unsecured structures.
  4. Notice for the fishermen: Fishermen are advised not to venture in the open seas.
