Hyderabad: The deep depression has weakened into a well-marked low pressure area over coastal Andhra and adjoining Telangana at 11.30 pm on Thursday. It now lies as a low pressure area over Telangana and its neighbourhood. Under its influence, light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Coastal Andhra and Telangana in the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema. There is no major change in the weather outlook for the subsequent two days.
There was seven cm of rainfall in Macharala in Guntur district under the influence of ‘Lehar’ cyclone on Thursday. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) were: Addanki 4, Sathenapalli , Yerragondapalem , Podili 3 each, Darsi, Piduguralla , Avanigadda, Ongole, Koderu , Kaikalur, Devarakonda 2 each. The minimum temperatures markedly rose at one or two places in Telangana; appreciably rose at one or two places in Coastal Andhra and rose at a few places in Rayalaseema. The lowest minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius was recorded at Khammam.
