Anantapur: President of Save Andhra Pradesh Forum and APNGOs’ Association P Ashok Babu alleged here on Friday that the Union Ministers from the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions ‘miserably’ failed to stop the State’s bifurcation. He dubbed the Ministers ‘good for nothing’.
Addressing a huge meeting of ‘Save AP’ at CRIT College, he said TRS leaders K Chandrasekhar Rao and K Kesava Rao, who were originally from the Andhra area, were stoking the flames of Telangana to gain political power.
He said if the State was bifurcated, Anantapur district would face severe shortage of drinking and irrigation water. There would be water wars in the region.
He accused the Seemandhra Union Ministers of scuttling the separatist agitation by raising demands of UT status to Hyderabad and Rayala-Telangana.
