RT Creating Rift Between Seema Dists: Narayana, Basis for Rayala Telangana. He demanded that before the issue goes out of hand, the Centre must come up with the solution, rather heightening tensions on both sides

Hyderabad: Extending its support to the bandh call given by TJAC, CPI termed the Central government’s approach to Telangana as that of ‘sadistic’ in nature.
Speaking to mediapersons at Makhdoom Bhavan on Wednesday, the party state secretary, K Narayana, felt that Centre was playing with the sentiments of Telugu people. Condemning the Central government’s new idea on bifurcation, he questioned the basis for it.
“What is the basis for Rayala Telangana? People of the region had fought only for a separation of historic Telangana,” he said. Terming that Telangana issue was overstretched, he said that the Centre was making it more ‘complex’ with its misjudgment and pushing it to a ‘certain level’.
He pointed out that Rayala Telangana idea was never on the agenda of any political party, particularly the Congress. He wondered as to whom, the Centre was trying to satisfy with this proposal. Pointing out that the proposal had only added more fuel to fire, Narayana expressed worry that now the people on both sides of the fault line would intensify agitation.
He demanded that before the issue goes out of hand, the Centre must come up with the solution, rather heightening tensions on both sides. “The solution must reflect the announcement made on July 30. Now even a single inch of manipulation is unacceptable,” he warned.
According to him, the idea of Rayala Telangana had created discord on a new front, pitching two districts of Rayalaseema against the remaining two. “After developing schism between Seemandhra and Telangana people, the Centre is now dividing the people of Rayalaseema,” he noted.
