3 of a family die in wall collapse

Vijayawada: In a tragic incident that occurred in the city on Thursday, three persons of the same family lost lives under a collapsed wall. According to the information, Tammina Bhavannarayana (50), Tammina Chandrasekhar (51) and Mulapaka Ramu (60) were supervising the reconstruction work of a wall at a building in Bhimanavari Street in Kothapeta area of One Town when the accident occurred. As a part of it, they were put to supervise the demolishing of a slab. Suddenly, the retaining wall connecting the two buildings collapsed on them.

Bhavannarayana died on the spot while the other two died at the hospital where they were shifted immediately. Bhavannarayana’s mother Krishnaveni (70) who was also at the scene escaped with minor injuries. She is admitted into private hospital. The Kothapet police have registered a case while the rescue teams cleared the debris at the location.
