In the wake of the Union Cabinet approving the T Bill, all eyes are now on the moves the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

It now remains to be seen whether Kiran, who has been opposing the bifurcation of the state and has also been sending feelers that he would resign after delivering a forceful speech on the floor of the House when the Bill comes to the Assembly, will do so or he will fall in line.

Sources say that keeping in view the fast-paced developments, Chief Minister reviewed the situation with some ministers like Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Pithani Satyanarayana on Thursday evening. It is said that he still maintains that it would not be so easy for the party high command to pass the T Bill in Parliament. He is understood to have said the party may not show any hurry to get the Bill passed in Parliament once the results of the Assembly elections in five States are out –poll surveys predict rout for the party.

All the Congress leaders from the Seemandhra region are preparing to hold a meeting and decide their future course of action. They feel that the Bill might come to the State Assembly on December 12 or 13 and would be discussed for about three to four days.

Meanwhile, Kiran is learnt to have called on the Chief Justice of AP High Court, Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta, a few hours before the Union Cabinet met. Though official circles say that it was just a courtesy call, political circles feel that Kiran might have sought some clarifications on constitutional issues.
