Hyderabad: Protesting against the Union Cabinet’s approval of Telangana, APNGOs Association has decided to publicly burn the pictures of the MPs and Central Ministers from December 9 for having “betrayed” the Seemandhra people.
Speaking to media persons, association president P Ashok Babu said that Seemandhra people were disgusted by the leadership. He said that if the Seemandhra leaders had acted in time, things would have been different. “It is the misfortune of Seemandhra people that we have leaders who have not been putting up united fight. The T leaders were united and had single point agenda,” he said.
Ashok Babu said that since it was not the culture of Telugu people to attack anyone, as a mark of protest they would resort to burning of pictures of the MPs and MLAs of Seemandhra region.
Calling upon all political parties to come forward to fight against the bifurcation, he asked the MPs and the Ministers to ensure that the process was stopped by submitting their resignations. He also urged the MLAs to oppose the Draft T Bill when it was referred to the Assembly.
He said the Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika (SRPV) would finalise its next course of action including laying siege to Assembly after December 9.
