Hyderabad: The steering committee of the APNGOs, which met here on Monday, decided to lay siege to the state Assembly on the day the draft T bill would come for discussion.
The APNGOs leaders who observed Monday which also happened to be the 67th birthday of AICC president Sonia Gandhi as “black day” and expressed their ire over the Centre by burning the pictures of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi near Telugu Talli statue.
The police arrested them on the grounds that rallies were banned in and around the Secretariat.
The members of steering committee under Samaikhya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika (SRPV) also registered their protest opposing division of the State wearing black ribbons. While the APNGOs steering committee meeting was on, several activists representing ‘Telangana Praja Protection Force’ tried to barge into the APNGOs office in Abids. The police foiled their bid and arrested the activists by overpowering them.
