Hyderabad: Telangana legislators from various parties are mulling over staging ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan’ protest if Telangana draft bill copies were not tabled in the Assembly on Monday. Although bill copies were air dashed from New Delhi to Hyderabad on Thursday evening itself, the State administration intentionally delayed handing them to Speaker, Telangana legislators felt.

With an aim to achieve co-ordination among T elected representatives from different parties, Telangana Journalists Forum (TJF) organised a meeting at a city hotel on Friday evening. Around 70 legislators including Congress ministers, MLAs and MLCs besides members from other political parties, except MIM, attended the meeting. TJAC members Prof Kodandaram, Mallepalli Lakshmaiah, G Deviprasad, and C Vittal also took part.

Eliciting their opinion, T MLAs laid emphasis on staying united and speaking in one voice during the debate on Telangana bill in the Assembly. The same co-ordination ought to be maintained until Telangana bill got the nod of the parliament. If needed this sort of co-ordination meetings should be conducted on a daily basis when the session was underway, the meeting felt.
Kodandaram stated that the onus was on elected representatives to take forward the process (built up by TJAC) and ensure that Telangana became a reality. He assured all forms of help to T MLAs from JAC’s end.
Senior Advocate Prakash Reddy explained the members about finer points of Article 371(d). TJF convenor Allam Narayana stated that their aim was to bring all Telangana legislators under a single roof for a better understanding and co-ordination amongst them.
Congress leaders K Jana Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, D K Aruna, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, B Saraiah, G Prasad Kumar and Yadava Reddy, TRS leaders Etela Rajender, Jupally Krishna Rao, Venugopala Chary, Vinay Bhasker, K Sammaiah, K Eshwar, M Bhikshapathi, Swamy Goud and P Sudhakar Reddy (TRS), TDP leaders Errabelli Dayaker Rao, Mothkupalli Narsimhulu, Uma Madhava Reddy, Jaipal Yadav, Seethakka, Satyavathi Rathod, Annapurna and others, BJP leaders Endala Lakshminarayana, Yannam Srinivas Reddy, CPI’s Chandravathi and Chandrasekhar, CPI-M’s Julakanti Ranga Reddy besides Palle Ravi Kumar, Kranthi Kiran, PV Srinivas of TJF attended the meeting that went on for almost three hours.
