Says Congress nervous of their alliance

Hyderabad: Obliquely referring to the proposed TDP and BJP poll alliance in the 2014 general election, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that only his party was fighting against the Congress government, which was riddled with corruption at Centre as well as in the State.
Addressing the press here, he asked the Congress as to why the party was so nervous over the TDP and BJP alliance talk. Naidu, however, declined to clear the doubts on the prospects of the TDP forging alliance with BJP before the election.
He said that the recent poll results in the four States, in which Congress was routed, had clearly shown how the anti-Congress wave was getting strengthened in the country. “People would teach a befitting lesson to the Congress in the general election and people will see ‘good days’ after the Congress gets buried,” Naidu said.
Reiterating that his party would support Lokpal Bill in the Parliament, he said that his party was committed to fight against corruption and make the country a ‘graft-free nation’ in the world.
Naidu criticised the Congress led UPA for indulging in unabated corruption in every sector leaving people deprived of employment opportunities and livelihood in the last 10 years. About Rs 5 lakh crore of black money was stashed in foreign banks, he said adding that the whole black money, which was meant for the development of the nation, should be brought back, he added.
The rapid decline in the value of the Rupee in the international market was also a cause of great concern for the economic development of the country, he felt. He later alleged that the central investigative agencies --CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED)-- were being exploited by the governments for their political gains.
