Hyderabad: Lok Satta Party national president Jayaprakash Narayan, on Monday, wrote a letter to the Speaker N Manohar asking him to furnish information on a number of aspects of the AP Reorganisation Bill-2013 to facilitate a meaningful discussion. Describing it as a Bill of great significance, with potentially long-term and profound consequences, he said the members were entitled to full information in advance and an opportunity to study its provisions and relevant information before the discussion commences.
He said information pertaining to The Statement of Objects and Reasons, the Financial Memorandum, ways and means position, revenues, grants and revenue and Plan expenditure in respect of Hyderabad city (GHMC), and the three regions of the State – coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema and Telangana, staff position in each region – the number of posts, department-wise; the existing staff and their origin region-wise and zone-wise; vacancies in each region was “absolutely essential” to facilitate “a careful, objective and dispassionate examination” of the Bill.
