Eluru: The member of parliament of Eluru constituency, and the Union Minister of Textiles, Kavuri Samba Siva Rao allegedly commented the Samaikyandhra agitators and viewed them as useless fellows.He received flak from the agitators; the supporters of Samaikyandhra hurled eggs and chanted Samaikyandhra slogans.
The agitators held Kavuri responsible for the hastened process of T-formation and alleged that Kavuri preferred his personal interests to the communal interests. Reacting to these comments, Kavuri made the above comments.
The police meddled and carried out lathi charge on the protestors. Almost 20 leaders supporting the cause of Samikyandhra have been arrested and sent to a nearby police station.
