Doctors clueless

These girls had come to the hospital last Friday for treatment.

According to Dr Nandakumar Reddy, Superintendent of the hospital, a committee comprising doctors from different specialisations like Ophthalmology, Carnia, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Pathology, Microbiology etc was constituted to find out the reason behind this problem. He said test samples of the all 11 students were sent for medical tests to Osmania General Hospital and doctors from L V Prasad Eye Institute were also consulted. However, the reason for the falling of crystal formations is yet to be identified.

The girl students were suffering from this problem since June.

Before approaching Sarojini Devi Eye hospital, they consulted many doctors locally but their efforts proved futile.

Superintendent and the teacher of the Social Welfare Hostel, Vijaya had said the girls did not complain of any pain or vision.
