Hyderabad: Tirumala Tirupati Samrakshana Samithi on Tuesday welcomed decision of Panchayat Raj department for rejecting the application by Islamic Mahila University management (located in Tirupati outskirts) to cancel orders of the District Collector to demolish their structures.
The college management approached the department besides High Court on December 4 after Collector issued directions to district authorities to demolish college structures that were reportedly built in violation of building plan.
The High Court directed the district authorities to submit report in 15 days whether the foundation laid by the college management supported G+1 structure or G+6 structure.
Meanwhile, Panchayat Raj department, after getting details from Chittoor DPO, rejected the plea of the college management, informed Dr Bhagavanth Rao, secretary, Tirumala Tirupati Samrakhshana Samithi in a press statement.
