Hyderabad: The annual SSC examinations are likely to be postponed by a day or two following the change in the dates of Intermediate exams. SSC exams are scheduled to start on March 26, the same day on which Intermediate Chemistry and some other exams will be held.The time gap between the end of SSC exams and start of the Inter exams is just half-an-hour, which, according to officials, will be impossible to manage things.
There may be a clash of arrangements and supply of papers in at least 200 exam centres which are common to both SSC and Inter, according to officials of SSC Board.
They have written the same to the Ministry of Secondary Education two days back and suggested that SSC exams should be postponed. An official communication to this effect is expected to come either on Wednesday or Thursday.
Earlier, officials finalised the time-table without waiting for the list of government holidays. As a result, dates of Intermediate examinations had to be changed by taking into consideration the holidays of Holi and Ugadi. Dates of SSC exams too have to be changed now.
