Hyderabad: While the draft bill on Telangana has been tabled in the state assembly, the Chief Secretary has sought a detailed note on various issues mentioned in the T-bill from as many as 20 officials.

The report is scheduled to be submittedon Friday. It is evident that the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Prasanna Kumar Mohanty has convened a meeting with the officials of as many as 20 major branches on Wednesday. During the meet, he ordered the officials to deeply scrutinize all the 13 schedules in T- resolution bill and asked them to prepare a detailed note on the issues required to be discussed, in case of bifurcation of the state. He also ordered them to prepare a note in detail, concerning assets; debts and various other matters mentioned in the T-bill.

Further, he asked the officials to bring out the flaws in the T-resolution bill and asked them to make a note to that extent. The CS ordered them to compare the actual proposals sent by the Centre and the issues mentioned in the T-resolution bill tabled in the state assembly; and asked them to prepare a note even on that. Officials from as many as 20 sectors participated in the meeting. He informed the officials that the state government has no right to amend anything in the bill forwarded by the Union Home Ministry. If amended, said the CS, it will be viewed as a privilege motion. If there is any such thing which requires to be undertaken, a separate note is to be prepared and put forwarded to the Union government, added the Chief Secretary. It is learnt that the CS has even informed the officials that through speaker he was informed that the TDP leaders have brought out the issue that most of the issues in the T-bill are incomplete. So, said the CS, any such issues identified by the officials should be put forwarded in a note format. He ordered the officials to bring out the issues to his knowledge by Friday.
